Debra Vine has been the Program Director for Aegis @ Home and Aseracare Care Home Health since 2008. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2008, she was a Rehab Program Coordinator with Aegis @ Home. In her current role, her duties include: program leadership; overseeing staffing, hiring and new-hire orientation; payroll management, budget management, clinical leadership, and quality assurance and audits. Additionally, she serves as a liaison between her area’s AseraCare Home Health agency and the medical community it serves.

She prides herself on putting her customers first. “If you can do just one small thing extra to make it a better day for that person,” says Debra, “it is a key component in their satisfaction and to our success.”

Debra’s favorite elements of her job include mentoring staff and providing education to patients on the rehabilitative process and their role in their own success. She feels team collaboration by the staff is vital to the progress of the program.

“Once, I worked with a retired professional who regularly used her hands in her career,” says Debra. “She was slowing declining in her upper body motor functions. She was very happy to have help modifying her hand projects with adaptive methods so she could continue to make things for her family.”
